TAXES RAISED BY EVANS AND SWYERS!

HUGE RAISES GIVEN OUT

BY A VOTE OF 2-1, THE MONARCH FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT BOARD VOTED ON SEPTEMBER 27 TO RAISE TAXES TO ITS RESIDENTIAL TAXPAYERS BY A WHOPPING 7%, WHICH WILL BRING IN OVER $1M IN ADDITIONAL REVENUE

OF COURSE THEY TURNED RIGHT AROUND AND SPENT MOST OF THESE NEW TAX DOLLARS ON IMMEIDATE RAISES FOR EACH UNION MEMBERS OF $2000 TO $3000 EACH, WITH ADDITIONAL RAISES TO FOLLOW SOON.

Even the Monarch Concerned Taxpayers Did Not See This Coming. Union Controlled Monarch Fire Protection District Board Members Evans And Swyers Both Campaigned On NO TAX INCREASE Platforms. It Took Swyers Less Than Six Months To Break His Promise And Evans Did It The First Chance She Got After She Took Control As Board President.

A large turnout of residents, including many members of Monarch Concerned Taxpayers showed up to express their opposition to Evans’ and Swyers’ continued pursuit of the Union agenda. But their comments fell on deaf ears and only Board Member Robin Harris voted to keep taxes and wages level and provide relief to taxpayers in this current challenging economy.

While the final decisions have been made, it is not too late to share your displeasure with Evans and Swyers. Let them know what you think:
