WHAT WAS SPENT ON STEVE SWYERS CAMPAIGN FOR THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS?

WAS IT THE $60,019.67 THAT WAS REPORTED?

OR WAS IT MORE…MUCH MORE?

SOMETHING DOESN’T ADD UP!

WE MAY NEVER KNOW BECAUSE HIS CAMPAIGN REPORTS ARE INACCURATE AND INCOMPLETE. BUT THAT IS NOT ALL.

WHY WOULD THE MANAGING PARTNER OF ONE OF THE WORLD’S LARGEST ACCOUNTING FIRMS REFUSE TO FILE HIS REPORTS ONLINE SO THAT TAXPAYERS COULD EASILY SEE HIS CONTRIBUTIONS AND EXPENDITURES AND, INSTEAD FILE BY HAND AT A LOCATION THAT ATTEMPTS TO HIDE THIS INFORMATION FROM THE PUBLIC?

LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT SOME OF THE FACTS…

  • Swyers primary campaign committee, Citizens for Steve Swyers intentionally started his primary campaign committee the day after the required 40 day report was due, thus created a scenario in which his only disclosure of contributions and expenditures would be a week before the election. A coincidence? We think not.

  • Swyers primary campaign committee obtained and paid hundreds of dollars for a large number of documents from the Fire District, which were used by his secondary committee, Voters for Good Government.

  • Swyers made a personal contribution of $6470 (trying to buy the election?) on March 28 that he failed to report in a timely manner (a clear violation of campaign finance law) and when he finally did report it the day before the election, it was too late for voters to find out about it.

  • A week after the election Swyers reported a mysterious $18,433.43 loan. Why was it mysterious? He hid the name of the donor, which, to this day is not known. Again a violation of campaign finance law.

  • Citizens for Steve Swyers used two door hangers, which were delivered by his Union fire fighter friends and six professionally produced full-color, double sized mailers. If the mailers were sent only to the 3800 households with voters from the previous election (and they may well have been sent to many more, as there are more than 40,000 voters in the Fire District), it is inconceivable the cost of creative design, layout, printing, presort and mailing could be done for anywhere close to what was reported on the Citizens for Steve Swyers campaign finance reports. And what about the in-kind contribution from the Union in delivering the door-to-door literature. It too was never reported.

SIMILAR MISSING AND INCOMPLETE INFORMATION EXISTS WITH SWYERS’ SECONDARY CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE, VOTER’S FOR GOOD GOVERNMENT.

HAVE YOUR DOUBTS THAT VOTERS FOR GOOD GOVERNMENT WAS RELATED TO THE SWYERS CAMPAIGN?

WHO DID YOU THINK DID TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF PRINTING FOR VOTERS FOR GOOD GOVERNMENT? NONE OTHER THAN MULLIGAN PRINTING. AND WHO OWNS MULLIGAN PRINTING? NONE OTHER THAN SWYERS’ DAUGHTER AND HER HUSBAND’S FAMILY. COINCIDENCE? GIVE US A BREAK!
